This policy describes what information Animaclarus collects when you visit animaclarus.com or use the audit service, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to deliver an audit, we don't sell data, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
What we collect
When you submit an audit form
If you submit a Quick Audit or Full Audit request, we collect:
- Contact information — first name, last name, email address
- Practice details — practice name, city, zip code, practice type (mobile, emergency, exotic, cat-only, equine, or general)
- For Full Audit requests: your 10-digit Google Ads Customer ID (used solely to send a read-only linking request to your Google Ads account)
Automatically collected
Like nearly every website, we collect basic technical data when you visit:
- Pages viewed and time on site (via standard analytics)
- Approximate geographic location (city level, from IP address)
- Browser type and device type
- Referring site, if any
We use this to understand which pages are useful and which aren't. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell to third parties.
What we do with it
The information you submit is used to:
- Deliver your audit — analyzing your account and emailing you the results
- Follow up — one email after the audit asks whether you found it useful. If you don't respond, no further emails.
- Maintain the service — basic operational use like preventing spam submissions
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Not to vet associations, not to marketing data brokers, not to anyone.
- We don't share it with affiliates or partners for their marketing purposes.
- We don't send marketing emails beyond the single audit-followup email mentioned above. No newsletters, no automated sequences, no drip campaigns.
- We don't run retargeting pixels or build advertising profiles based on your visit.
Read-only Google Ads access (Full Audit only)
If you grant Animaclarus read-only access to your Google Ads account for a Full Audit:
- Read-only is enforced by Google at the platform level. Animaclarus cannot modify your account even if it wanted to.
- Access can be revoked by you at any time in your Google Ads dashboard (Tools & Settings → Setup → Account access → Managers tab → Remove access). Two clicks.
- We use the access solely to prepare your audit. We don't export your data to third parties.
- The audit data is kept in our internal records for client servicing only. We don't share it externally.
Cookies and tracking
animaclarus.com uses essential cookies for site functionality and Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors interact with the site. Google Analytics collects standard web measurement data (page views, session duration, traffic sources, device type, approximate geographic location) and uses cookies to recognize returning visitors. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. Form submissions are processed via Netlify Forms (see Netlify's privacy policy for their handling). Chat conversations are processed via Anthropic's Claude API to provide AI-assisted answers; transcripts are stored only if you provide your email address for a follow-up.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any data we hold about you, or request that we delete it, by emailing alex@animaclarus.com. We respond within 7 days.
