Hosting and access
The site is deployed to a Netlify account that belongs to your practice. You create it, or we create it against your email and hand it over; either way the account is yours before anything is deployed into it.
You then issue us a personal access token scoped to that account. We deploy with it. Revoking it in your Netlify settings removes our ability to deploy and changes nothing about the site that is already live.
The free tier includes 300 build credits a month. That is comfortable, because the build sprint runs on our account and only the finished site is deployed into yours. Your account spends credits on the deploys that follow, which are infrequent.
Domain and DNS
The registrar does not change. If the domain is at GoDaddy it stays at GoDaddy, in your account, with your payment method and your renewal date.
Before any record is touched we inventory the existing DNS, and the MX records in particular. Mail routing is the one thing a careless DNS change breaks, and it breaks quietly. We write down what is there, change only the records that point at the website, and leave the rest alone.
Email never blinks, because nothing that carries email is modified.
Forms and email
Form submissions are captured by Netlify and stored in your account, so the record of who contacted the practice lives with you rather than with us.
Each form also forwards to whatever address you nominate — reception, a shared clinical inbox, a personal address, or several at once. That forwarding is a notification, not a mailbox: your business email is untouched and keeps working the way it does now.
Analytics ownership
GA4 and Google Tag Manager are created in accounts named for your practice, under your Google account, with you as Admin. We are added as a user.
This matters more than it sounds. A property created inside an agency account is an asset you cannot take with you, and the history does not move when you leave. Starting it in your account means the measurement outlives the engagement.
Google Ads
We work through a manager link rather than by holding your login. You keep the account; we are granted access to it, and that access is revoked from your side in one click.
Conversion actions are created inside your account, not ours, so the conversion history stays with the account if we stop working together.
Reverting
Your old site stays where it is throughout. We do not take it down, and we do not ask your existing host to cancel anything.
Reverting is therefore a DNS change: point the records back, and the old site resumes serving.
The one caveat, stated plainly: that holds only while the old host still has the site. If you cancel that hosting after the switch, the old site goes with it. We do not keep a copy, and you should not assume one exists. If you want an archive, take it before you cancel.
